Sunday, 6^th June 2004, at the Gozo Stadium, 4.00pm Champions Zebbug Rovers faced Nadur Youngsters FC in the GFA Cup Final.  In a good match were both sides had their chances and which produced six goals, Nadur Youngsters won the GFA Cup to deny the Rovers from a historic double.  The Rovers failed to conclude in the net while Nadur penetrated on four occasions.  Zebbug were more offensive but more goals came on the other side.  Nadur ended the season 2003/04 on a very positive note, after a disappointing season, where they were still without any trophy.  They secured the second major trophy that Gozo Football offers.  After the match President Mr Joe Cordina and Secretary Mr Alvin Grech presented the trophies to the runners up and to the winners of the GFA Cup.  Sannatlions.com would like to congratulate Nadur for this success.  Referee of the match was Mr Clayton Pisani and his assistants were Mr Joe Camilleri and Mr Alan Camilleri.

Champions Zebbug could have opened the score just four minutes from start as Eboh dribbled goalie but his shot was cleared by Bonello helped by the pole.  Seconds later Touali’s free kick went over the bar.  On the 9^th minute Camilleri’s cross was headed wide by Sylvan Galea.

    Nadur replied on the 19^th minute as Panic concluded to the back of the net Portelli’s cross to give his team the lead.  On the 23^rd minute Touali’s cross was headed wide by Eboh.  On the other side Simoncic’s free kick went over the bar.  On the 37^th minute it was Touali’s free kick that was saved by Falzon without any difficulty.  Two minute from break Sylvan Galea headed in Cardona’s cross to level the score.

     In the second half Zebbug went close again by Camilleri whose shot went wide in the 4^th minute.  Sylvan Galea shot wide on the 8^th minute.  Nadur penetrated again on the 10^th minute as Portelli crossed to Panic and he passed to Simoncic who scored by a low shot. 

    Zebbug replied immediately and two minutes later they leveled again.  Touali’s free kick was not kept by Falzon and behind the goalie.  On the 23^rd minute Nadur scored again by another free kick.  Panic shot to the corner of the net put Nadur upfront again.  Zebbug tried to level again and on the 28^th minute Leandro’s strong shot was brilliantly saved by Falzon to a corner.  Two minutes later Falzon saved again before Eboh or Galea could conclude. 

     On the 35^th minute Tuoali’s free kick went just over the bar.  Falzon saved again on Leandro four minutes later.  In the injury time when Zebbug were pressing for the equalizer Nadur secured that the trophy was theirs as on a fast break Camilleri lobbed over Xuereb with the ball hitting the pole before finishing in the net for a final score of 4-2.
