Sunday, 16th April 2004, at the Gozo Stadium, 2.00pm Zebbug Rovers FC faced inform Ghajnsielem FC, for the third round match of the Easyline GFA 1st Division League.  Neither team was playing under any pressure as Zebbug are already the new Champions while Ghajnsielem secured the third place in the classification.  Both teams exchanged flowers before start of the match.  Ghajnsielem opened the score by a penalty of Indaji.  Zebbug leveled few minutes later and had some opportunities to take the lead.  But an own goal in the second period gave Ghajnsielem the three points.  Referee of the match was Mr Kevin Azzopardi and his assistants were Mr Nicholas Debattista and Mr Ian Miller.

The match was very balanced in the opening minutes with the two respective goalies never being called in action.  On the 28th minute Trambu fouled Loretu Scicluna in the box.  Kalinga Indaji hit the post before the ball touched the back of the net from the spot to give Ghajnsielem the lead.

Zebbug reacted immediately by a shot of Galea which went wide.  On the 31st minute Leandro went close again but his conclusion went wide too.  Two minutes later Sylvan Galea, by a low shot concluded to the back of the net Cordina’s cross and leveled the score.  Before the break Zebbug went close again on two occasions.  Galea headed over the bar while in a counter attack Eboh shot wide.

In the second half Zebbug opened more offensive.  Leandro’s shot was blocked to a corner.  But on the 21st minute a classic  own goal by Franco Magrin, who in an attempt to clear Indaji’s cross saw the ball finishing in his net, gave Ghajnsielem the lead.  Zebbug tried to level the score and avoid the second defeat of the season but were very confused in their actions.  Eboh went close by a header which was saved by Mercieca.  Before the final whistle, Ghajnsielem could have extended the score by Geremy Camilleri but his conclusion went wide.
