• On Tuesday 6^th July 2004, it was held the first meeting of the fourth legislation of the Zebbug Local Council.  Mr. Carmelo Saliba was elected for the first time with a unanimous vote as the Mayor.  During the last legislation Mr. Saliba was a councilor.

• During the same local council meeting, Mr. Joseph Bajada was also elected with a unanimous vote as the Vice-Mayor, an occupation where Mr. Joseph Bajada has been occupying since the beginning of the year 2000.

• On behalf of the Zebbug population we would like to congratulate the new Mayor, the Vice-Mayor and all the other councilors, and wish them success for the following four years.
