On Friday, 1st February 2008 the Zebbug Carnival was organized by the local council of the mentioned locality. Although the weather was not in favour of the activities which were being held, a huge crowd of people filled the square of this village. The activity has been presented by Mr. Joe Bajada. The activity started at eight with the local band who played different carnival anthems which made a great, happy atmosphere. The organization ended in a typical way, with the “Kukkanja”. It is very popular, especially with the teenagers. Trophies were presented to the winners by the major Mr. Carmel Saliba.
